Starting the week we had two trips today on board Stenella, and as usual at this time of the year we are starting to see more and more Physalia physalis specimens. In their first stages of development, aprox. 3 to 5cm, and for untrained eyes they may pass unnoticed. In the next 2 months they will grow and their beautiful, neon blue and pink colors will be more evident. A warning for predators, that they are challenging to digest, except for the Loggerhead sea-turtles (Caretta caretta).
