In lifestyle magazins and guidebooks we often read: live happily each precious moment of your life. Be present in the presence. Often people ask themselves how this might be possible, not thinking at the future or at the past, just living the moment.
Well, sometimes it can be easy to practise that, for example during a trip at sea or another nature observation activity. Lets take a day like today. Calm ocean, sunshine, good sightings. Our great spotter on land guides us -during the day- to different species of marine mammals. One time we were able to observe the black pilotwhales with their ballshaped heads, later, we looked at hunting common dolphins and atlantic spotted dolphins with their young calves. Now and then we saw for short moments also sea turtles, which quickly dove down. Up in the sky above us, there were terns and Cory’s Shearwater, close relatives to the Albatros. In this moments we feel a light breeze touching our skin and we manage to be completely present in this unique moments. Everything else doesn’t matter. It can be that easy, at least sometimes.

So true! I was with my family at the snorkeling trip that morning and what you write is exactly what I was thinking at that time, what I felt too. Since my return, when I need to focus, to meditate, I have an image in my head : that of several dolphins in the blue sea, dancing. Many thanks again to the crew that enabled us to go in the water that day.
