This morning, our guests really enjoyed the Atlantic Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis). Our little sea friends were in large numbers and extremely interactive. There were several small calves in the group. Although our Atlantic spotted dolphins are actually our summer dolphins that prefer warmer waters, they can still be found off Madeira’s coast at the moment. We heard their communicative whistles. All in all a great experience, the Endolphins crew stronger and our guests were inspired. Dolphins awaken this childlike joy, this radiance in the eyes and in the heart. Sometimes our guests are so touched that there are wet eyes of joy. Which in turn is a wonderful experience for the crew. A wonderful domino effect!
Thanks to Pedro’s attentive gaze, we were able to observe a monk seal (Monachus monachus) right in front of the harbor. A special end to a great endolphin trip.
