Best weather, calm seas and two species of marine mammals, that’s what our guests on Ribeira Brava experienced today.
Our guests were able to take some valuable quality from the encounters with those animals. The resting on the surface Pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) with their uniform breathing rhythm conveyed absolute tranquility and serenity. Beautiful qualities to deepen the holiday experience.
The Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), distributed in different subgroups around the Pilot whales, were very active. Again and again dolphins came up to us to spend a moment in the bow wave of the Ribeira Brava. These animals radiated strength and joy for life. Beautiful qualities to recharge your batteries on vacation.
On our trip to and from the marine mammals we saw an unidentified shark, five Loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta), many small By-the-wind-sailors (Velella velella) and Portuguese man o’wars (Physalia physalis) as well as Cory’s Shearwaters (Calonectris borealis).
