There are situations in life which are similar to penalty shoot-out in a soccer game. The goal-keeper can choose a corner, just a second before the ball is shot. If he jumped in the right, corner, he catches the ball. Otherwise the ball scores. Sometimes also Whale Watching can function likewise to this. For example in the beginning of a trip, if the spotter is not yet seeing anything, then the skipper is free to decide himself in which direction he is steering the boat. Today Filipe (Skipper of Ribeira Brava) decided to go west. The combination together with the great talent of Carlos (our spotter) was then rewarded with a nice observation of a school of Bottlenose dolphins, travelling eastwards. With patience and careful driving we earned their confidence and manage to see them close to the boat.
