The day started with a trip on the Ribeira Brava, were we were alluded by a large concentration of Cory`s Shearwaters (Calonectris borealis) only 1 nm in front of Jardim do Mar. At first we were feeling confident and due to the strong wind coming down the valleys, the trip seemed already successful. Unfortunately as always, nature is unpredictable and as we came close to the spot we saw that the school of fish were actually being hunt by tuna, since we never saw any dorsal fins. In the afternoon trip, right at the end we still managed to see a group of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) in a good mood. Very close to the boat and occasionally jumping out of the water.
