Today we saw various marine mammal species. In the morning we encountered Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and a Fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus), which was travelling very fast. We were able to observe it briefly in the midst of strong waves.
At midday there was a quartet. Bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis), Striped dolphins (Stenella coeruleoalba) and Blainville’s beaked whales (Mesoplodon densirostris) were in calmer waters. The otherwise shy Beaked whales showed their curiosity. All our guests got a good view of the three small whales.
