20.2.1014 – A DAY TO REMEMBER

Wieder ein recht bedeckter Tag heute, aber wir sollten uns nicht beklagen, gerade an einem solchen Tag wie dem 20. Februar. Vor 4 Jahren hatten wir hier auf Madeira die “grosse Flut” und viele Wochen vorher immer wieder sehr viel Regen und schlimmes Meer. Traurig ist, dass einige der betroffenen Familien immer noch keine staatliche Hilfe bekommen haben. Auf dem Meer heute gab es springende gemeine Delfine und verschiedene Seevögel zu bewundern und am Nachmittag noch fröhliche Fleckendelfine dazu. In unserem Info Center im Hafen haben nun endlich die Arbeiten angefangen, alle packen mit an.

Today we had a grey sky without any sun, but we schould not complain, because looking back 4 years ago we had a big flood on the 20th February, and even weeks after is still rained a lot. On the sea we had a meeting with nice common dolphins jumping around and some nice sea birds, in the afternoon we saw some spotted dolphins. Finally our works in the Info Center in Calheta have begun, all team is helping!

Hoje o dia continuou cinzento mas mesmo assim se recordarmos o dia 20 de Fevereiro a 4 anos atrás não nós podemos queixar. Na nossa ida ao mar tivemos um bonito encontro com golfinhos comuns, bem alegres, e algumas aves marinhas. Na viagem da tarde vimos golfinhos pintados. Finalmente começaram os trabalhos no Info Center na Calheta, e a equipa toda arregaçou as mangas!
