Our guests from the trip at noon with Stenella experienced fast travelling Pilot whales. But we had quit a few close encounters. Only a little subgroup kept the distance with a good reason. In the middle of this group swam a tiny Pilot whale, which still had his birth marks. Sure such offspring needs to be protected! It would be very great if the residents of the Faroe Islands would realize that these animals have to be protected in general. During our trip we had Atlantic Spotted dolphins and Loggerhead turtles as well. A big thank you to our guest which were very keen to fish Garbage out of the ocean!
The evening trip with Stenella was under a lucky star. We saw: Atlantic Spotted dolphins, Atlantic Spotted dolphins, Pilot whales, Sperm whales, Loggerhead Turtles, Shearwaters and a Flying fish. I still see the majestic tale in my mind’s eye, and surely our guests too! Wow!
