This morning, our guests observed two different species of dolphins, resting Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and then a school of Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) performing leaps. In the middle of the group was a small kindergarten group with tiny calves swimming happily through the sea.
We had a long drive at midday trip, but our guests had a nice sighting of Bottlenose dolphins travelling towards Funchal.
In the evening we watched Atlantic spotted dolphins at dinner. What did they have? Sashimi. On the way back we came across some Bottlenose dolphins.
