Today we had two companions. Even when it seems as if we are alone at sea, we are accompanied by the eyes of our spotter Drumond. He is the one who lets his eyes wander over the sea and supports us from land so that we can ensure our guests a beautiful encounter with the marine mammals. As soon as we left the harbor we knew that Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) and Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) were four nautical miles off the coast. Our Pilot whales were very gracious today. They accompanied us for a long time and became closer and closer to us. What a beautiful, intense encounter. However, the Bottlenose dolphins behaved a little more reserved. On the way back we drove along our beautiful coast.
